FAQ’s

I don't have an idea yet. Or, I'm not sure if this is the idea I definitely want to pursue. Is this for me?

Yes! Join one of our Free Workshop Series to learn ideation exercises to help you come up with an initial idea. If you aren’t sure if your current idea is the one you want to pursue in the long run, we’ll help you to evaluate it based on whether it’s fit with you as a founder and its market potential. Moreover, the skills you’ll learn can be applied to any idea that you take on now or in the future!

What stage founder is this for?

Anyone launching a new business, product, or service.

I'm not working on my business full time. Can I still enroll?

Yes, it’s designed to be a minimum time commitment. We focus on delivering the need-to-know information, because we know you’re busy! We’ve worked with many full-time and part-time founders.

Is this just for female founders?

We welcome everyone who identifies as a woman, non-binary, or trans person and anyone who wants to start a business or who has a business.

What type of companies can benefit from this program?

This program is for all types of business across industries. Whether you’re looking to raise venture capital or to bootstrap, the skills we teach will be valuable. We’re less helpful to founders who are looking to build companies that require significant technological or science based research and development.

What is the time commitment?

The commitment is 4 hours a week (2 hour Workshop, 2 hour Peer Group) + 2 optional hours (1 hour Group Office Hour, 1 hour Mentor Office-Hour). Your work outside of these sessions will determine your progress, expect to dedicate 10 hours a week total if you are a part-time founder.

Do you take equity or make an investment?

We do not take equity and we do not make investments in founders who participate in the program. There is a program fee (see below). We feel that this no equity model is aligned with the interests of our founders, given their early stage. Please see pricing for this program at the bottom of this page.

What's the different between this and the FounderPass?

This is a structured program, based on a step-by-step curriculum over the course of ten weeks. The content builds on itself and participants are expected to attend as many Workshops and Peer Groups as possible. FounderPass is intentionally flexible, like a gym membership for founders who want the option to opt into ongoing programming. Founders in the Startup Program will have access to all Founder Pass programming during the 12 weeks.
